Bubó macarons!!

My friend Sophie and I went to Barcelona last weekend and I fell, if possible, even more in love with the city! Barcelona's got it all: beaches, churches, sports, TAPAS and of course, a lot of shops! You might think that I'm going to make a huge shopping-post, but surprisingly enough, I'm not!

While wandering through the small streets of Barcelona's cosy district of El Born, we spotted an amazingly modern bakery! Intrigued by it's attractive window, we decided to go inside. What we found inthere, was candy-heaven! The shop was full of pies, desserts and tons of macarons! The macarons filled up the place with their bright colours, I think there were at least 10 different tastes (caramel, chocolate, orange, strawberry, blueberry, banana, cherry, pistachio,...)!

The owner was very kind to tell us which colours were which flavour. And - it must be said - he spoke the best English I heard in the entire city of Barcelona, loved it!

As bad as we wanted a couple of macarons, we feared it would be rather expensive, like it is in the big French bakeries (you all know which bakery I'm talking about ;)) but in here, the macarons were only 1 euro a piece!!! A freakin' steal!

The rest of the sweets were little pieces of art too and not expensive at all! In my opinion, if you visit Barcelona, this shop is a must-see. As I told, it's situated in the district of El Born, more specificly in carrer caputxes 10, if you take the subway, get off at Jaume I. You can also take a look on http://www.bubo.ws/!
