Patty cake

My mum and I decided to go on a shopping spree. The mission: find some sales nobody else saw and maybe take a little peak at the new collection, and not get tempted to leave the sales aside and buy the spring stuff...

While walking trough the 'Nationalestraat', in my opinion one of the greatest streets filled with beautiful stores in Antwerp, and adding more and more bags with clothes to the collection in our hands, all of a sudden my mum and I got drawn to this one big window filled with piles of colorful cupcakes...

'Patty Cake' is the name of the store, I've never seen it before neither have I ever heard of it before. But I loved the shop instantly. I guess it showed... Because all of a sudden a salesperson came outside with a white box in  his hands with four cupcakes inside.

'You want a taste, ladies?' The salesperson said.
'For free???' I shouted (very very loud, I may add... luckily he smiled.)
'Yes, go ahead, take them home and enjoy.' He answered.

So first my mum and I stumbled things like: oh-no-we-couldn't, and: we-will-pay-you, and: god-that-would-be-so-impolite,...

But, as you can imagine, we took the box with colorful goodies home sweet home. For free. What a way of advertising. So here you go: they were as good as they looked. If you want to have a taste, only one adress: Nationalestraat (sadly, I don't know the housenumber, and they don't seem to have a website. But it's in between 'Lila Grace' - another beautiful shop with clothes, this time - and the beginning of the street if you come from the museum)

Bon appetit!

x Kirsten
