Kristin and I are blondes, if you haven't noticed before... I've never dyed my hair before, neither have I ever used highlights (though I've been temped lately to make it 'chemically' lighter...). So every winter my hair gets darker, and boy do I hate that. This means, that every winter, awaiting summer beams that naturally bleach my hair, I try my best to keep it as light and healthy as possible with shampoo's that promise magic for your blonde hair. I've gotten quite experienced with these, so here's my blonde shampoo review:

BED HEAD by Tigi DUMB BLONDE
This shampoo is amazing. It is quite expensive, but it does the trick. It makes your hair softer and it makes sure it doesn't get damaged too much. Especially for me, I'm a fanatic hair straightner, so I'm the girl that easily gets split ends - bad, I know - so I need good products.
So if you know this problem, use dumb blonde. It's actually a smart move :). You'll find them at your Tigi hairdresser or you can order them online here.
SHEER BLONDE by John Frieda GO BLONDER
I'm currently using this one. Some friends told me my hair was getting really dark, so I bought me a 'go blonder' shampoo hoping it really does the trick. I'm currently skiing in Norway, high in the mountains with a lot of sunshine, so my hair is going to bleach naturally. But I hope it will get an extra boost from this shampoo. I've only used it three times, so no real results yet. But I'll keep you posted. I cán tell you allready that it really smells nice...
BLONDE GLAM by Redken
I'm currently using the blonde glam conditionner, haven't tried the shampoo yet. My hairdresser gave it to me. As I allready mentionned before: 'I'm the girl with the split ends'. This conditionner, he promised, would stop them from being more split. I'm trying to grow my hair, you see. That's why I don't want too much of the ends being cut - though it's probably necessary because it would mean the end of my split ends - so other mesurements needed to be taken :). It does the magic, it makes your hair instantly softer and it's easy to comb through after you used the Redken Blonde Glam.
ULTRA DOUX by the Labaratoires Garnier CAMONILLE
Absolutely No Good! I used it when I was a child, but it made my hair heavy and greasy. In the meanwhile I learned you shouldn't use shampoos that come from your supermarket. They use silicone, which is really bad for your hair. The only onces that are good in your local supermarket (according to my hairdresser) are Loreal Pro - I must stress this: the pro part is important - John Frieda and Tony and Guy (I use their hair crème). But Ultra Doux is definitely a no go. Unless you don't care much about your hairs health... :)
This was my review, hope it helps you guys with choosing a good shampoo. If you have some hair tips, tell us in the comment area. And remember, a drop of extra virgin oil in your hair makes it softer then soft... Bye my lovelies, have a great wash!
I'm using this Ultra Doux...and i must say that my blond hair looks a lot more healty and shiny than before. I have tried several shampoos this preticular one is one for me. I just love it.. and during the summer when i must wash my hair daily it is one good product to use :)
ReplyDeleteI used to be a brunette when I was younger and almost all my childhood life, I always dreamed of having a blonde hair. When I turned 20 last year, I went to this hair salon, Santa Monica and they transformed my hair from a brunette into a now lovely and gorgeous blonde. I absolutely love having blonde hair and I can really say that blonde is beautiful.
